Blue Tuesday

Yesterday may have been 'Blue Monday' for some, but here it's 'Blue Tuesday'. No, we haven't fallen for a clever marketing stunt and booked a holiday, or made any other extravagant purchases for that matter. Blue is the colour of a large bruise on my leg which, I suspect, will turn into a kaleidoscope of colours before it subsides. Last night I managed to trip up the lower of two steps in to the kitchen, and landed on the corner of the upper step! Ouch (though those weren't my actual words)! Ice was applied.

The lovely blue bud vase was a birthday gift, and as there are no buds in the 'yard, I brought in these orange rose hips.
