Private Fish

Dave took this fish in the morning from Half Water - a pool just upstream from the confluence with the River Derg.

Fish tend to hang around the junctions with tributaries until they are sure that they have the right place to go, so junction pools can be very productive.

We had a very special dinner that evening with many fishy stories to tell.

I didn't blank completely - I managed to catch my face with a salmon fly as it whipped around in the wind. It bled a bit and I looked a bit stupid with a cut in my cheek, but it looked very heroic to the lady I sat next to at dinner, I'm sure...
