Resort Hacienda!!

After a dreadful (if you've been you'll know what I'm talking about...) attempt to look for trinkets in Playa Del Carmen we decided to check out the market on the resort. We were not disappointed!!! Tons of tourist trap stuff, but loads of beautiful Mexican artisan wares as well. I was amazed at the colourful pottery, as well as their "tongue-in-cheek" take on death. We ended up with a beautiful hand-glazed bowl, a painted "skull" for my office (student complaints and exam concerns will now be dealt with directly by the skull...), an authentic wrestling mask for my nephew, and a handmade bag for my niece. Great time and no pressure sales.
