Waders wading....
I think this is a Sanderling (or is it a Dunlin?!), and there were quite a number of them along the estuary at Leigh On Sea this morning in the bright cold sunshine scurrying backwards and forwards! Our plan was to head to Shoebury for a walk but a combination of roadworks, diversions and traffic jams made us change our mind and just stop at Old Leigh instead!
And a very nice little wander we had too in the sunshine at high tide. Even spotted a young swan looking a little lost bobbing along! Then there's always the bonus at Leigh at stopping at a nice little cafe for tea and teacake to warm up again!
Took delivery of a new mini plastic greenhouse this afternoon, as well as replacement cover for the old one so hopefully the temperatures will warm up again soon so I can get back to sorting the garden out! Now awaiting the Sainsburys food delivery!
