Icy cold in Mote Park

A brisk long walk into town and back to complete a few purchases for next week and of course, enjoy a coffee.

After 4 nights of below freezing temperatures Mote Lake was frozen with all the birds, including pigeons skating around on the surface scooting after food being thrown by people from the side.

Susan was painting this afternoon while I continued with administrative tasks and a quick run through a couple of songs for tonight’s Open Mike at The Chequers in Doddington.

A great evening! Lots of variety and fantastic fun. I enjoyed it despite being my first ever open mike.
