Morning walk by the sea. A sunny and still morning. Temperatures just above freezing by the time we went out.

Merlin’s been having an allergy problem. You might be able to see the little hive on his eye lid and his inflamed jowl.

The rest of the day was spent on chores and then a lovely afternoon walk with Merlin in the orange glow of the low winter sun. We spotted a flock of red wing feeding in the trees. Merlin was fascinated by them. We stood and enjoyed the moment. No rush, no need to be anywhere but here together. What a joy.
