poor paw

Took Jazz along to the vet this morning as he has developed a limp and after closer examination he had cut one of the pads on his paw and it had healed badly. So made an appointment with Bachelor and Davidson, 10 minutes later I emerged £33 lighter. Why do vets in Edinburgh totally rip you off charge more than elsewhere. I usually go to Aberdeen for his yearly jab and worming and that only costs around £30 (its about £50 in Edinburgh).

Anyway poor jazz has to go into dog hospital for an operation to slice a bit of his paw off, meaning no running around for 6 weeks. He is going to go bonkers if he can't get his daily dose of exercise. The up side is the vet thought he was very fit and healthy for a 12 year old dog with no signs of arthritis, meaning it is worth getting the operation to help his extended quality of life.
