Volleyball Finals

We were back at the Unidad bright and early this morning for the final rounds of the volleyball competition. The semifinal matches turned out to be more competitive than the finals on both the men's and women's sides, but the men's finals brought the large crowd to life. Lots of insults were yelled from the sidelines, especially directed at Mr. Acapulco, who was once again spectacular (though he was blocked on a couple of occasions and actually hit one into the net). I wanted to show another photo of him doing his thing above the net, but really liked this one of the opposition playing some intense defense, plus it caught some of the crowd watching intently.I have played on this very court and it is not pleasant hitting the concrete. Despite these efforts, Acapulco won handily, as had the women's contingent in the match right before. A clean sweep by the largest district in our state.
