Another birthday celebration
The good weather continued today, so the sun blinds had to come down again before we left to go into the city for lunch. We met my daughter and son-in-law at Harbourside Restaurant to celebrate both our birthdays - daughter is 9 days before me and she was in the air somewhere over the Pacific on her birthday. It was a lovely long, leisurely lunch and we over-indulged but, as it’s only once a year, we didn’t worry too much. When we got home all we wanted to do was flop with our iPads, and any thought of going out for a walk went by the wayside. It’ll be back on the straight and narrow tomorrow!!
Harbourside, as the name suggests, overlooks the harbour, so we were able to watch the ferries coming and going while we lingered over lunch. The Azamara Quest was berthed at Princes Wharf to our left and the Seabourn Odyssey at Queens Wharf to our right.
In the blip Mission Bay beach is top left, St Heliers beach is top right, the view from our table is middle left, the Seabourn Odyssey leaving harbour is middle right, my Crème Brûlée is bottom left and a little “extra” from the restaurant is bottom right.
