Once again, the twins wanted to hang out only with Doug.  Here you see them after Sam emptied all of the train tracks and parts onto the rug, while Max focused on the crane despite there being almost no room left on the floor.  Later on they sat on Doug's lap and read from the construction vehicles ABC book, and they pointed to and read out the letters.  Andrew has started singing the alphabet song to them frequently, which really helps the process of learning their letters along.  

For dinner Lex made a Tuscan Kale Soup recommended as a recipe by the renal dietitian.  Since it just has beans as a protein source, she cut up and cooked small pieces of chicken breast to be added to the soup.  That way I was able to have some, but control how much.  And there was a lot of leftover soup that I took home.

Apparently the baby shower was a great time and both Lex and Manda took photos for me to see.  They agreed that due to the noise level I wouldn't have been comfortable if I'd been there.
