What are these?

Frosty again this morning.  We encountered two dusty pink armchairs on the drive of one of the houses we pass.   Kyro barked at them and would not move past them.  I patted the seat and encouraged him to approach.  As you can see he was tentatively smelling one.  Then we were able to carry on.

Arrived home from town at midday to the smoke alarms screaming.  Poor hound, the noise is deafening for humans let alone dogs.  OH arrived home and asked him to press the button on the alarms to switch off.  This didn't work.

Upshot is OH left the tap running in the attic which overflowed the sink. Soaked the floor, seeped into the ceiling below.  OH claimed it was a 'trickling tap'.  I'm not buying that.

I've been asking, no begging OH to get new hearing aids or use the ones he has.  He clearly didn't hear the tap running or look to check.

Had to call emergency electrician to ensure wiring is safe.  He checked  the fusebox and connections and disconnected the smoke alarms in attic and first floor ceiling which was wet.  Bedroom ceiling has bubbles under the wallpaper despite holes poked in ceiling.  I am not happy is an understatement.  The room was decorated not long ago.

Duvet currently drying on a radiator.  :-(((

OH staying out of my way.

I hope you've had a better day.
