The Sheila C

Another day out on an event of the Orkney Nature Festival. A larger group than yesterday went over to Flotta and split into groups doing two different walks and a boat trip on the Sheila C, the scallop boat that took me to Fara yesterday. We didn't actually see much of interest. Plenty of seals and great northern divers, a few puffins on the sea.
The weather was pretty poor with frequent showers, although there was no wind.
This kind of event is pretty much the only way I can get to uninhabited islands and out on small boats, otherwise I wouldn't go. All too organised and I cannot depend on serendipity to find what I like to photograph. Still, morehere.
