The Mackintosh House

I went to visit the Mackintosh House this morning which is part of the Hunterian Art Gallery at Glasgow University, I hadn’t been for over 20 years and had it all to myself.

The Mackintosh House contains the reassembled interiors from the house where Scottish architect, designer and artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh and artist-designer Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh lived from 1906 to 1914.
The original house was demolished in the early 1960’s, the new site is only 100 metres from the old one and was completed in 1981. 
The extra gives a flavour of the style of the bedroom furniture.
