I met my friend Judy today for a coffee in Romsey. A very nice cafe which also sells Pastel de Nata, or Portuguese tarts to me, which are one of my very favourite things. I also saw that the cafe is ‘a tech free zone’ citing that ‘laptops kill cafe culture’. I take it that means they don’t want people taking up a table, buying one cup of coffee and using the cafe as a workspace! There was no one in there with a laptop. Interesting. Most of the cafes I go to are full of young people on laptops. The photo has no connection to the cafe! I saw it outside one of the other shops and it took my eye.
