Tulips - Optimism embodied

As my house-mate says, 'Tulips are lovely at every stage, from bud to bloom, to droop and faded-petal drop'. My son in Australia sends Vibrant! as the text-word (which is quite a response from him) 
Thank goodness for sisters who know just when a bunch of flowers is needed.
