Statue

This fella stands in front of the Palace of the Republic (where James Blunt played!) and adjacent to the Hotel Kazakhstan on Dostyk. Abay Kunanbaev died in 1904 but is a bit of a hero in terms poetry, writing, philosophy and general Kazakh culture.

As you can see, beautiful weather - the fountains have thawed and the sun is out. Happy Days!
