Lily the pink
We had a most enjoyable Burns Night supper at book club last night. The haggis was piped in (unfortunately no sexy kilt-wearing piper, but a recording of it) and then we addressed the haggis, each of us reading a verse of the poem which conveniently has eight verses, one for each member of our book club to read. And the food was delicious too!
Today was meant to be sunny but it was grey and drizzly. I walked Xena in the woods and the rain held off, and then I had to rush off to the hairdresser. After that I went to the supermarket to get groceries for the weekend.
The grey weather did not inspire me today so here is an emergency blip of a lily from a bunch I bought myself last weekend. I love lilies but those stamens can make such a mess.
I am looking forward to a relaxing evening at home after going out three nights in a row.
