Da Pund, Ten Years On

A breezy day, calmer tonight.  Showers throughout the day, heavy at times and overcast. 

Up early, and headed north to snap my ten years on project.  Saw the fire brigade putting out a car fire in Tingwall.  Popped by Laura's on my way to work.  Last late shift in the airport of the week.  I started on the check-in desk, then moved to meeting and boarding flights.  Our last Edinburgh flight was delayed, just got the wheels up in time, 2140, home at 2230.  Knackered and now feet up.

Another ten years on photo.  At a quick glance, not much changed.  Around the doors are a little tidier.  The outbuildings look much the same too.  Sadly the house has fallen into disrepair.  The lum (chimney) no longer reeking, and the old wooden pot has rotted away.  You can't see the worst of the rot from this angle.  The skylights have fallen in, the roof looks rotten, the porch doors have been broken and open to the elements, overall in a really poor state.  I wonder what it will be like when I do twenty years on!  Taken at the Pund, Trondravoe, Delting.
