Village entrance.

One street 15.
This is the entrance to our village, just out of sight beyond the bus stop is the village sign.
I wanted to take this as part of my 'One street' series whilst the blossom was still out.

It has been surprisingly unaffected by the recent wild weather and hail.

This road is the extension of Long Lane, the main village street. On the left is Harden Park Lodge, the gatehouse to Ferrands Park and just beyond the bus stop there is currently a traffic control as there are some houses being built on the other side of the road and the pavement is being dug up for reasons I am not clear.

The trees on Wilsden Road were in full blossom a good week before these as can be seen on my 7th May blip, and I have photographed from here before showing the trees in their Autumn glory last October.

You can see the type of day we are having from the bright sunshine and the ominous, looming clouds. Warmer today though as there is less wind and we seem to have avoided the rain so far.
