Someone told me a long time ago that if you keep your guitar in a case, you’ll never pick it up and play it.  So I hang mine on the wall.

I do this for two reasons - firstly, so I can just grab it and have quick twiddle when the mood takes me - and secondly, because it’s a beautiful piece of wood.

The body is made from walnut, which is an unusual choice for an acoustic guitar.  The sound is described as having a “big bottom end..”  which I think is a bit unkind.

The colour will change over time, the grain becoming more pronounced as the walnut darkens on exposure to light.  Another reason for not keeping it in a case.
