Questions!

An unusually busy day for me! A swift walk with Oscar before going up to the hens. I met the Dr Gardener up there - she and her husband have just recovered from Covid. They had managed to avoid it up to now! I seem to have been lucky and didn't catch it from Vegan Jo! Next stop home to get Oscar and take him to the field with Ivy.
I read an article this week about the possible reasons for the increase in dog attacks. Unsocialised dogs because of covid and similarly dogs with anxiety having gone through lockdown and finding their homes suddenly full of people and their safe places intruded upon, or conversely anxious because suddenly their homes are empty of people as they went back to work. Many people getting dogs during lockdown and not training them properly, or getting dogs from breeders who are not registered and not following good practises. Additionally dog walkers more in demand as their owners went back to work, and maybe inexperienced people walking too many dogs together that don't actually get on with each other. Another cause could be the fact homes are more stressed due to the economic climate and dogs picking up on this and in turn becoming stressed. Also the role of TikTock where owners do staring competitions and other similarly dangerous activities which naturally stress their dogs and could trigger an aggressive /scared response. What stupid dog owners think staring at their dogs is fun- it's not for the dogs. I thought it was common knowledge that you never stare at an animal as it appears threatening to them. I also would never leave a dog and a young child unattended - I remember Vegan Jo's daughter once jabbing my previous dog with an umbrella - she loved him but didn't realise he would not find this funny. As the dogs are immediately put down researchers can't look into the behaviour of the dog to see what could have triggered them.
After the field it was home to shower and off to Vegan Jo's for another Reflexology session! She is over Covid and back to work! She is narrowing down her treatment - despite intensively working on my spleen I had no reaction as I had on previous sessions! Working on my nervous system triggered my legs twitching - this has happened the last 3 sessions! Apparently all but my muscular skeletal system, nervous and digestive system are in order!! Makes sense!
Finally a stop at the shops to get baking ingredients - I've got into the habit of baking on a Sunday! So far I've made a Polenta and clementine cake and a  marmalade cake! This Sunday it's a cherry cake! Does anyone know if there is a difference to using self raising flour to plain flour with baking powder? I couldn't buy any baking powder so used SR and I'm sure my marmalade cake didn't rise as well!!!
I see Boris and Dorries are having an interview tonight - twitter is rife with people saying what they would be doing instead of watching them - most of them involving self injury rather than submit themselves to watching them. I have to agree with them! My blood pressure couldn't stand their lies.
