2023 Wednesday — Hearts

The second month has arrived. Cupcakes, candies, cards, and champagne fill everyone's focus the first half of this month. Hallmark greeting cards; okay, maybe not everyone.

See's Candies, and FTD must do quite well in February after a relatively quiet January. More than a dozen years ago the celebration of Valentine's became one of my favorite holidays. So I'm planning to have fun.

Years ago in January 2008 as Mr. Fun & I wandered through a bookstore in Pacific Grove, near Monterey, California, I found a copy of Ted Kooser's book of Valentine poems. Right then and there I gained a new appreciation for Valentine's Day; I bought the book. I’m really for fourteen days of hearts.

Oh, and our construction supplies arrived today. That’s progress.

Let the Valentine celebration begin!
