Grandad and granddaughter enjoying a nap

A varied and very enjoyable day. First we went for a walk around San Elijo Lagoon Nature Reserve with Carly’s parents. It was part of the same walk we did last May with Carly and Chris. It’s good that amidst all the urban development that a real effort is being made to conserve rare and valuable environments such as these lagoons.

Next was over to Chris’s for an afternoon with him, Landon and Madison. Landon had sorted out all his toy cars into their different colours on the table. Quiet an effort. We walked to and around Discovery Lake, Landon on his bike and me carrying Madison in a baby sling and had a bit of a go on the playground. Landon played with his cars when we got back.

The day was rounded off with a great family evening at Carly’s parents with wonderful food and company and a little ukulele playing
