No smiling!

A SUPER day until we hit the motorway, just as the Radio2 traveltotty announced northbound delays on the M6 and our journey ground to a halt


Turns out that Smart Motorways are not smart or helpful, and are completely hopeless as the overhead gantries urge everyone to one side then the other for no reason at all!

We escaped at J19 and thanks to an elderly Road Atlas we cut about the M60/61 and found the M6 in a much better state at J30

At least the journey down went smoothly! Should have known it wouldn't last!
