A close shave

Our laurel hedge got its annual haircut, today thanks to Tim.
We are extremely grateful to him for tackling it since most men dont want to know about the job or charge an extortionate fee.
 
Why is it so high?  We live on an hillside and don’t want to look into our neighbours bedrooms.
