Whale Of A Time

Did the double today. No not the league & FA Cup but The Whale & Plane. It would be hard to choose two more diametrically opposed films than these two.

That said, I loved them both. Whilst The Whale won’t get the Best Picture honour next month, that prize will be deservedly taken by The Banshee of Inisherin, it is a lovely film with great performances by all the women involved.

As for Plane, it stars Gerard Butler, and if you are familiar with his work you know exactly what you are going to get. Don’t ask too many questions. Just enjoy the ride & the fact that he doesn’t need 3 hours to get you to your destination.

The fact that the day started with brunch with darling girl was the cherry on the cake. Although no cake was consumed.
