Folk icons at the Barbican

To the Barbican this evening to see folk music legend, Martin Carthy, and his equally iconic daughter, Eliza. Martin Carthy was 80 two years ago but no celebrations could take place at the time because of the pandemic/lockdown. Since then, his wife and Eliza's mother, Norma Waterson, also a folk legend and member of the folk royal family, the Watersons, has died. So the concert was also in commemoration of Norma. It was a great night and one that was both very moving and very joyous.
