Not Abbey Road

No, this is not the most famous zebra crossing in the world (which I tried out once when I went to a screening of A Hard Day's Night at the Abbey Road studios) but the new zebra crossing in Chobham. It doesn't appear to be fully completed yet, and I am wondering whether there will be an official opening involving ceremonial tape and scissors and a local celeb, with the Chobham Morris dancers performing a special Belisha dance. I suspect not. Anyway, as a car stopped as I was taking a look at this new village feature, I felt compelled to open it myself and so made my stately way, with a royal appreciative wave, to the other side.
