Cinderella

Today would have been my dad’s birthday so I wanted to do something with mom. It so happened that some of the girls in my class were in this show so it only seemed fit to take mom along. I had hoped to get afternoon tickets as those timings would be easier on mom. However, they were sold out so it was the evening showing instead.
Mom had a rest in the afternoon so she could come out this evening.
Cathie and I walked Scout from Burnsall up to Hendon tea room for a coffee and then back. It was grey and a bit damp but nice to be out and Scout got to run off lead most of the time and did a good job of coming back when I called.
This evening came and I wondered how it would be. I don’t particularly like pantomimes and this was one. I normally just feel that the ‘jokes’ are crass and offensive. However, tonight’s panto was very funny and very enjoyable. It had the usual jokes and references to local areas but it was full of music and dance and had some very clever and funny tongue twisters and one ‘who, what and I don’t know living at 1st, second and third! It was very funny and I really did enjoy it. But the best bit of all was when I saw my little girl at the interval, when she had finished her part, and seeing the big smile it put on her (and her mum’s) face and the hug she gave me. :)
It was a late night. Not dropping mom off till 10:30
I then went home to have a bit to eat before bed.
