Big Boys' Toys?

It was customer appreciation day at Birch Equipment, a Bellingham tool and equipment rental company. In addition to all the construction tools and machinery on display, there were demonstrations, free hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches, and a mobile broadcast unit from a local radio station playing classic rock music.

You can see from my blip, and the photos I posted on Flickr, that a lot of the items for rent are way beyond the needs (and skills) of the average DIY person.

Not surprisingly, most of the attendees were male.
