Scott Park (just after she stopped crying)
I’ve been meaning to thank you all for the hearts and stars for Sunday’s sunset shot. I think I’ve visited most of your journal to say thanks. It was an iconic west coast shot.
We had the morning off childcare so decided to visit the nearby YMCA centre for a swim. Well, I did. Susan watched. My first proper swim since March 2020. Enjoyed the swim and the facilities very much.
Lunch was at the highly recommended Gordy’s Bakery which turned out not to be that good with the exception of their scones. A quick tour around the very expensive Lazy Acres Organic supermarket rounded off the morning’s programme.
Madison duties filled the afternoon. As soon as we left on the walk she started crying. We were about to stop to pick her up and offer food when she stopped and went to sleep. About an hour later she woke again so we stopped for refuelling which kept her topped up until we got back. We learned that Landon had been sick at school today, we’re hopi g he will recover quickly.
This evening we went out with Chris and Carly (and Madison) for our Christmas present meal to the Bellows restaurant.Excellent it was too. Lots of conversation and photos were shared. Madison didn’t make a sound all evening.
The evening was rounded off by watching some Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain and Walk Off The Earth on YouTube. Carly was mesmerised.
