Hepatica

Liverwort (hepatica nobilis) In extra, aconites. 


Work in the morning. Out in the early afternoon to Dean Gardens . Much more extensive than our local gardens, and rather better situated for early spring since it has south exposure along a stretch of the Water of Leith bank. Good step maintenance and drains in the paths. Thanks to @meles for the opportunity to visit (it's normally private and subscribers have keys).

Great banks of snowdrops, and there will be daffodils. Trees in bud, and some early blossom. A great tit, robins, a long tailed tit, the usual pigeons.
