Rievaulx Abbey

Whilst up in the North East visiting my mum i arranged to meet my dad for a day's walking. We were so lucky with the weather waking up to gorgeous sunshine and blue skies. It was a lovely route we took walking from Sutton Bank to this beautiful old abbey on paths lined with a mixture of dandelions and primroses. I thoroughly enjoyed it. :-)
A good day was rounded off when my mum took me out for a birthday meal in an old pub in a nearby village for lamb shank and sticky toffee pud. Perfect!
