we are flowers in one garden
This was the day of Venus's funeral, at the Crichton Church in Dumfries. I took this photo on my walk there, through Dock Park. The church was full, and while it was very sad to say good bye to a friend, the service was more about celebrating her amazing life. Her family all contributed in some way, even the tiny grandchildren, who sang a Bahá'í children's song “We are Drops” which Venus always loved, and which encapsulated the message she tried to tell everyone, all her life long:
“The earth is but one country and mankind its citizens” Baha'u'lláh
