Abstract Thursday: "Close Up"

When I saw this week's Abstract Thursday theme, I was set to go back to the kitchen and follow Tuesday's "split pea landscape" with an attempt to do something arty with an end-on view of a packet of spaghetti. You're spared that, though :), as on my walk with Hendricks I spotted the stump of a felled tree. Where the trunk had broken after the saw cuts, there was a wedge of jagged spikes. I thought it might have potential for a sort of "splinterscape" abstract.
