Flower Friday: "Crocus"

The first crocuses are out, and these golden(*) ones are looking stunning -  two wilting snowdrops in the foreground are hanging their heads and presumably muttering enviously to each other. 

(* Of course you can't see they're gloriously golden as this is Day 10 of the Mono Month Challenge! :D)

I suffered for my art with this photo. I put a mat down to lie on the grass, but hadn't realised that right by the edge of it there was a well-camouflaged patch of deer droppings. And I put my knee in it :(
