Batsford Arboretum
In brilliant sunshine. On the first frost-free day for ages. It snowed drops of spring hopefulness as we walked with old friends around this gem of an arboretum. We even saw the first butterfly of the year fluttering over these snowfields : a peacock. Woodpeckers, blackbirds, robins, pheasant and a song thrush added their relaxing sounds to our trek through these ancient woods.
