Through A Lens Darkly

A fairly quiet day today. Again it was bitingly cold but in the early afternoon there was another glorious burst of winter sunshine so I headed out for a walk down to the village.
In fact the light was slightly too strong at times and today's shot really represents one of the cardinal sins of photography in that it was taken directly into the sun but when I looked in my viewfinder it produced this almost dark and brooding feel.
The ravaged looking tree in the centre of the image is actually a weeping willow which has just undergone its pretty brutal winter prune but I think it really adds to the mood of the shot.
