Caracatus Potts
Another eight mile stroll with the spaniel this morning. The 500 metres of steep ascent made it seem longer. Our route took us up Turville Hill past Cobstone Windmill. It is a smock mill built in 1816 (replacing an earlier mill) and famous for its appearance in films such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (where, if I remember rightly, it was the home of Caracatus Potts), as well as various television programmes.
