Orchid sketch

From an old sketchbook. I’m wondering if I should go to Kew to see the orchids this year. I’ve been having some quiet time in the studio today.
I went to an event last evening benefiting The Upper Room charity. Quaker Friend Sheila Hancock was interviewed; I met some other Qs sitting in the front row and they made space for me. S was great fun and also bravely spoke her mind.
The walk to the event was cold but beautiful with all the city lights.
