Chaffinch
Back home and a day sorting things out before another afternoon watching Six Nations Rugby.
Sitting in the lounge I have a good view of the bird feeders on the tree. Chaffinches have not learnt the skill of landing on the feeders and eating at leisure. Instead they either opt for ground feeding or a frenetic hover adjacent to the feeder and a grab with their beaks for a small morsel. This one was just contemplating his options.
Many thanks for all of the comments, stars and hearts over the last week. It's always a great pleasure to spend times in the Lake District. It definitely brings out the creative juices and if you want to see a few more images from the week I have a small album in another place.
