Obsolete
I'm pretty sure a household 10,000 litre, in ground, heating oil tank has been dug out & looking for a new use. As it's next to a smallholding used to keep young cattle in the summer, may well be used to trap rainwater off the roof of the newly built large barn.
We have probably almost the identical one in our garden, bought by the previous owners in 1997 costing DM 13,410 (6,700€) + cost of digging hole and connecting it to house. In 2005 when we changed from oil central heating to wood pellets, we had it cleaned & taken out of commission (legal requirement), and I have often considered using it for water storage. To make sense, would need to do a complete renewal of all the house water plumbing so that with good filters it can be used for WC but also washing machine. We already have enough rain water tanks for the garden watering. Even have a 30,000 litre, again decommissioned, underground oil tank from days the property was used mainly for growing plants in greenhouses.
