Books of possibility

So many possibilities of a photo to sum up today! We started with a walk to church followed by lovely chats over coffee. Home to eat, feed animals and pack a few things for an overnight stay. Then to Westgate for a joint churches walk around Daddry and surrounds; a strange walk that took us through a number of farmyards and back gardens. I hesitated over photos of rusty farm equipment, vistas of the river Wear and interesting ‘local bylaws’ signs on gateposts. Later a drive to Blanchland for a fabulous meal and overnight stay at the Lord Crewe (thank you to our lovely neighbour and friend HappyMe for looking after the dog!) I took photos of the amazing cheese board and of the reflection of a chandelier in an ornate mirror. In the end though, I chose this pic of some books left in our room, which I made an immediate beeline for. I started to read ‘12 Birds To Save Your Life’ which I definitely can’t finish by tomorrow morning, but it has made me think about something I could write myself, if I just could get motivated.
