Quarry Toys

The Arklow Rock was once a mountain on the edge of the sea and on the outskirts of the town. Years of quarrying have reduced it to what looks like a volcano which has just blown itself to bits. Down in the depths it looks like toys from a child's play set are chipping away at the rock and shale.
