Work in progress

This morning  we were back at our local Wildlife Area doing some coppicing , bramble cutting  and general tidying  up. This photo shows on the left, hazel stems, some of which have been cut by us, but  most by local SSE contractors,  to avoid interference with  overhead electric cables. On the  right are those we have "processed" i.e. removed side branches  to turn them into good bean poles and other plant supports. In the centre is the growing pile of material we are accumulating in readiness for a bonfire...
