Mushroom Cloud on a Plate

Or...that's my dinner?!!

Believe it or not this is chicken stuffed with haggis in some sort of bizarre presentation atop a malformed roast potato. With some 'yuck-school-dinner-style-vegetables'. May I state for the record that the Atholl Arms Hotel in Blair Atholl does very good quality pub grub. Last night we decided to go to another place further down the road that we'd heard a local describe as very good - 'The Loft'. I've since found out that he was only talking about the whisky. Oh dear. I'm not going to go on about it as Mr D had enough of that last night but it was BAD - PLEASE DO NOT EVER GO TO EAT IN THE LOFT IF YOU'RE IN BLAIR ATHOLL. There - I've vented.

Other than that we spent a lovely day at Blair Castle, getting chased by ducks and runaway horses and looking at all the fabulous furniture inside the castle. Absolute bargain - it cost £8.25 to get in and we were there for over three hours. And there was sunshine!
