Diminishing Waters…..

Every day Maisie and I visit her favourite paddling pool in the river I note that the water levels are dropping.
It is in stark contrast to the effects of Cyclone Gabrielle in the North Island with water, water everywhere….. great sheets of it drowning the countryside and all it contains. The images I see on news sites on line and on TV are surreal. Such devastation. It is hard to take it all in. Words cannot really express what we see. The thought of the work to put people’s lives and livelihoods back together will be over-whelming. Arohanui Kia kaha.
