The Beagle Channel

Ushuaia extends along this channel, a strait that joins the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean and marks the border between Argentina and Chile. The blue roofs you can see to the right of the photo is the airport, with its runway along a narrow strip of land with sea on both sides.  The sky is full of snow and snowfalls are forecast for most of the day. 

We are relaxing today, enjoying this quaint little town at the edge of the earth. We depart from the harbour tomorrow heading for Antarctica along the Beagle Channel.
