For a dark day

A dark grey drippy day so I visited the cathedral to blip one of its many beauties.  I photographed a lot of small details and found myself astonished at the number of faces and odd corners of decoration that I - and I suspect most visitors - walk passed without every realising they're there.

However, for this blip I chose a shot showing a larget piece of architecture, mainly because I loved the way it was lit.  It's on the south side.

Two pieces of restoration news - the organ is going through a year long refurb and the very beautiful medieval floor tiles are once again causing concern.  I shall try to blip some of them at a later date.
