Surging forward

I think this pen swan has Spring in his veins.  He was being very aggressive, chasing most any bird off (gulls seemed safe enough), taking any food offered at the pond side.   Here he is surging through the water to attack a Brent Goose  which was about 50 meters away.

Yesterday was a drizzly day, the first rain for nearly 4 weeks, today is very windy, the tail end of first named storm of the winter, storm Otto, which is centred much further north in Scotland
